National 1,000 HPK Consortium Strengthens Cross-Ministrial Coordination for the First 1,000 Days
Jakarta, 12 August 2026 — The National 1,000 HPK Consortium convened representatives from key ministries, government institutions, and national stakeholders at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen coordination and alignment of programs and interventions throughout the First 1,000 Days of Life (1,000 HPK).
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Health in Jakarta, served as a platform to map ongoing 1,000 HPK programs and interventions across institutions, exchange best practices and lessons learned, identify implementation challenges and opportunities, and establish focal points to strengthen coordination across sectors.

From Sectoral Programs to Integrated Action
The discussion highlighted that significant efforts to improve maternal, newborn, and child health and nutrition are already being implemented across different sectors and institutions.
The next priority is to connect these existing initiatives, strengthen coordination, reduce fragmentation, and translate shared knowledge into more integrated action.
Through the National 1,000 HPK Consortium, participating institutions will continue this process through the Consortium’s four Working Groups, creating a structured platform to align expertise, programs, policies, resources, and implementation experience across the First 1,000 Days continuum.
By bringing together institutions with different mandates and capabilities, the Consortium seeks to strengthen collective action and accelerate the translation of policy into action and action into policy.
This cross-sector collaboration is expected to contribute to stronger maternal and child health and nutrition outcomes, supporting the development of a healthier and more resilient generation towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
Rabu Biru Foundation serves as the Secretariat of the National 1,000 HPK Consortium, supporting coordination, collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of strategic partnerships to strengthen implementation of the First 1,000 Days agenda in Indonesia.
