National 1,000 HPK Consortium Strengthens Coordination Across Four Working Groups
Jakarta, 12 August 2026 — The National 1,000 HPK Consortium held an informal coordination lunch with the leads of its four Working Groups in the Kuningan area, Jakarta, creating a relaxed setting to strengthen alignment, exchange perspectives, and discuss priorities across the First 1,000 Days of Life agenda.
The gathering brought together the four institutions leading the Consortium’s Working Groups:
Working Group 1 – Pre-Pregnancy: UNFPA
Working Group 2 – Pregnancy: UNICEF
Working Group 3 – Infants and Children up to Two Years: Tanoto Foundation
Working Group 4 – Facilities and Financing: WHO
The National 1,000 HPK Consortium was represented by Anda Sapardan and dr. Anung Sugihantono, who joined the Working Group leads in discussing the direction of each group, opportunities for stronger collaboration, and how technical priorities can be better connected across the 1,000 HPK continuum.
Over an informal lunch, participants exchanged perspectives on implementation challenges, shared priorities, and opportunities to translate technical expertise into practical and coordinated action. The relaxed setting also provided space for open dialogue and strengthened collaboration among the Working Group leads and the Consortium Secretariat.
The discussion highlighted the complementary roles of each Working Group, from pre-pregnancy and maternal health to child health and nutrition, as well as the health systems, facilities, and financing required to support effective implementation.
Moving forward, the four Working Groups will serve as key platforms for identifying gaps, sharing evidence and best practices, developing joint priorities, and strengthening collaboration between government institutions, development partners, and implementing organizations.
Through this approach, the National 1,000 HPK Consortium continues to advance its commitment to turning policy into action and action into policy, while building stronger collective action for maternal and child health and nutrition in Indonesia.
As the Secretariat of the National 1,000 HPK Consortium, Rabu Biru Foundation will continue to facilitate coordination among the Working Groups and wider stakeholders, supporting a more integrated First 1,000 Days agenda towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
